ED-TRANS is stepping up its commitment to energy transition by implementing the EVcom scheme.

As a major transportation company, our activities are very often seen as polluting and harmful to the environment. However, we want to be fully and effectively involved in helping to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions produced from our shipments.

We have therefore chosen to join EVCom, which is part of the Voluntary Commitments for the Environment programme supported by ADEME. It embodies and defines all the commitments made over the years by the group.

Nos actions

We are aiming to reduce our CO2 emissions BY 5% BY 2025. To do so, we will be focusing on three areas.

BETTER MANAGING OUR TRANSPORT

We are strengthening our partnerships with hauliers who themselves are committed to an environmentally responsible approach (the ‘Objectif CO2’ programme in France and other initiatives abroad).

We are carrying out more groupage transport services and consolidated shipments between our locations and are offering alternative and multimodal rail-road solutions.

EDUCATING OUR CUSTOMERS ABOUT ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES

We are aiming to extend our energy transition policy to all our customers and partners. We are providing an estimate of the CO2 emissions produced by our shipments. Our customers are encouraged to anticipate their needs to optimise transportation solutions.

STEPPING UP OUR ENVIRONMENTAL & SOCIAL EFFORTS

As working citizens, we are taking positive steps by reducing our water and energy consumption in our offices. Through our individual and collective actions and through our financial contributions, we are playing a part in reducing plastic waste in the oceans and on land.
